Has anyone else noticed the location of the new bus stops just as you turn off the dual carriageway towards St Michaels at the Forgan roundabout? The stops - one on each side of the road are very close to the roundabout and traffic turning towards St Michaels in particular will be likely encounter a stationary bus. It will not be so bad coming from the other direction as drivers will be slowing to enter the roundabouts. It seems a very odd place to site bus stops and it is difficult to envisage who they are intended to serve. Is it intended that the express bus service to and from St Andrews/Dundee will stop there? A further safety concern is that pedestrians joining or leaving at these stops will have at some point to cross the dual carriageway which, having experience of doing this on a daily basis, albeit further along at the Inverdovat road can be a scary experience!

This stop seems to be quite well used, myself and two friends travelled from Dundee to St Andrews on the service 96 on Tue 27th of July and the bus picked up several passengers at this stop. On our return journey we were on the service 99 wanting to get off at Newport, we alighted at this stop where transport was waiting for us, saving 30 minutes on waiting for the next 96. Four others also alighted at this stop, walking into Newport!!

Yup, I agree it's a bit tricky for those turning towards St Mikes but, as a bus- user family often going to St Andrews, it's a brilliant stop and better than when it was unofficial. Well done bus company for recognising a need.
