Website Donations
We are delighted to announce that the community website has donated £1,000.00 back to local good causes within the Newport area. £250.00 was donated to the following organisations:

Rio Community Centre, Forgan Arts Centre, Newport AFC, ME Research UK.

We would like to take this chance to thank all of last years sponsors. They include: Sutherlands, Starrs, Ferrier and Mackinnon, Duncraig, Ian Goddard Properties and Flowers at St Fort.

If it wasn`t for their kind support, this would not have been possible.

re: Website Donations
This year when we were in a position to give money back to the community we posted on the old website asking for applications or suggestions for groups to receive a donation from our pot of cash. We only received one request. Why was this?

re: Website Donations
I'd asked for the Playgroup to be considered twice before and we've always been overlooked so i didn't bother asking again this year.

Nikki, I have uploaded a newspaper article from when we donated to the playgroup. This shines a bit more light on when it was and who was involved at the time. Thanks.

hi,i would love money to go into a lovely decent park.the new one up at craighead is ok but as its under the trees its covered in bird poo.its also for older kids so toddlers miss put.kinbrae park is also for the older child.the tyre sheeting on the ground is all past its self by date and the park itself aint exactly great.a wonderful park like tayport has or even broughty ferrys castle green, carnousties new one.any park would be better tahn the useless ones we have just now.i have two children but they cant play on anything in the parks as they are too small-under three.newport would really be a lovely place to stay for parents if there was better park facilities.perhaps even some benches in the parks too so families could picnic.victoria park isnt even being used to its potential.im sure qith a bit of levelning it would be a great place for a super park that newport on tay kids deserve x
